What is a hot stones massage?
Hot stone massage is a therapeutic technique that involves the use of heated stones placed on specific points of the body. The warmth from the stones helps to relax muscles, increase blood flow, and alleviate tension. This massage promotes deep relaxation, reduces stress, and can enhance overall well-being. By combining the soothing heat with gentle massage strokes, hot stone therapy provides a calming and rejuvenating experience, making it an ideal choice for those seeking relief from muscle stiffness and fatigue.
What is prenatal massage?
As the name suggests, prenatal massage is a treatment for mothers and mothers-to-be. The treatment involves a massage targeting specific areas of discomfort that are most common during pregnancy, such as low back pain, pelvic pain and cramping/swelling in the legs.
Due to hormonal and anatomical changes, it is extremely beneficial to receive a prenatal massage to decrease stress, increase blood circulation (including to the placenta and fetus) and helps to prepare the body for labor as massage increases muscle tone and decreases muscle tension.
Please note women in theirs 1st trimester are not permitted to receive a prenatal massage.
What is cupping therapy?
Cupping therapy is a traditional massage technique that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. This suction helps to increase blood flow, release muscle tension, and promote healing. By drawing the skin and underlying tissues into the cups, cupping therapy can help alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and enhance overall relaxation. Often used as a complementary treatment for various conditions, cupping offers a unique approach to improving physical well-being and balancing the body's energy.
